There will be three Sessions during Lent in St Teresa's Parish Centre on how we, as a Christian family, can lessen our impact on the environment and reduce our dependence on single-use plastic. The first two sessions will be in the form of a presentation with audience participation, leading up the final evening which will be a conversation on 'Enough-ness' led by Dympna Mallon.
Tea and refreshments will be provided.
These sessions will take place as follows:
Thursday, 5th March at 7:30pm - Climate Change
Thursday, 12th March at 7:30pm - Single Use Plastic
Thursday, 19th March at 7:30pm - 'Enough-ness' led by our Keynote Speaker, Dympna Mallon.
Dympna Mallon completed a Research Masters in Maynooth, on Laudato Si’ in 2018. She has spoken at several events, including the Association of Religious of Ireland Annual Conference in October 2018, the Irish Bishop’s Laudato Si’ Day in April 2019, and the Down and Connor Convention in September 2019, as well as publishing articles on the Encyclical. It is Dympna's conviction that Laudato Si’ invites us to undertake a journey, both personally and collectively, and represents a vital and precious opportunity for engagement and renewal within our faith communities.
