The St. Teresa’s Parish Bulletin for Sunday, 13th November 2022

Sunday 13 November 2022,

Thirty Third Sunday of Ordinary Time

(Year C)

Synod 2023: Communion, Participation, Mission.

Sunday Gospel The biggest enemy to faith in Christ’s promises is fear. Jesus continually told his disciples not to be afraid. He came among us to cast out fear and bring us a peaceful understanding of God’s loving care. The Father did not create us to be a people who are fearful and living in the dark. He created us to walk in the light, to be children of light who enjoy the presence of God in our lives. The world is full of fear and gloom, it loves bad news that keeps people from becoming fully human and fully alive.

Lord, we thank you that in many parts of the world where there are wars and revolutions, where nation is fighting against nation and kingdom against kingdom, where there are earthquakes and plagues and famines here and there, fearful sights and great signs from heaven, the followers of Jesus are not frightened but remain where they are and continue to do his work, knowing that these things are things that must happen, but the end is not so soon.
