The St Teresa’s Parish Bulletin for Sunday, 16th January 2022

Sunday 16th January 2022

Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

(Year C)

Synod 2023: Communion, Participation, Mission.

Caith do phuicin, Glan do lamha.

Sunday Gospel The miracle at the wedding in Cana teaches the followers of Jesus that he speaks to us through the presence of others. Mary, as our mother, teaches us what we are to do: what Jesus wants us to do. His command is simple, he asks us to do God’s will, to love one another. What is important for us is to experience that love, to allow the love of Christ to enter into our hearts and transform us just as the water was transformed in to the bounty of wine. We are called to experience that abundance by putting everything else to the side and focusing on what God has done for us by bringing us into his family that see everyone as equal in the sight of the heavenly Father.
