The St. Teresa's Parish Bulletin for Sunday, 31st July 2022

Sunday 31 July 2022,

Eighteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time

(Year C)

Synod 2023: Communion, Participation, Mission.

Sunday Gospel What am I to do? The question shows that the man worried about his possessions. It’s a worry that is passed through the generations. Many people worry and fret about what they own or would like to own. They wait on inheritances and gifts that seem to give them some sort of prestige or power. Jesus teaches his disciples that they are wasting their time worrying about things that will pass away and are of no real value. The disciple places his trust not in wealth but in a relationship with God, a bond of unity that shows the value of God’s presence in life. What am I to do? The disciple knows the answer, put God before all things.
